Toen werd de boerderij en het karhuis op de nieuwe brouwerijsite door Edigius Vandervelden omgevormd tot een caf\u00e9. Zijn dochter, Marie-Therese, nam de bar over en leidde deze tot 1988.<\/p>\n<p>Daarna nam haar zoon, Danny Draps, de bar over en beheerde het caf\u00e9 tot de sluiting eind 2002. In 2003 werd het gebouw verkocht en omgevormd tot een bloemenwinkel. Op dat moment nam Gert Christiaens contact op met Henri Vandervelden om te helpen.
