Getting here
Oud Beersel, Laarheidestraat 230, 1650 Beersel, about 15 km south of Brussels.
By train
The nearest stations are Beersel and Lot. From Beersel station it’s a 1.1 km walk, about 15 minutes, past Beersel Castle. From Lot station it’s 2.6 km, with the last part uphill.
By taxi
Prefer not to walk, or heading home with a few bottles? Taxi Halle Lembeek drives between our door and Lot station, Beersel station, 3 Fonteinen and Boerenerf for a fixed 20 euros per one-way ride. That’s per taxi of up to 4 people, not per person: four of you pay 5 euros each, and the way back is another 20 euros. Call, WhatsApp or text +32 485 27 98 43 when you arrive (15 to 30 minutes) or at least an hour ahead; from abroad, book at taxi-halle@hotmail.com. Five or more? Book two taxis in advance. The taxi runs during the opening hours of the Bierhuis and you pay the driver, by card or cash. Leaving? Ask us at the bar and we’ll call one.
By bus
Bus R54 of De Lijn runs from Halle station (or the Uccle Kalevoet stop) to the stop “Oud Beersel”, right at our door. At weekends it runs once an hour, so check the timetable on delijn.be.
By bike
Bike parking at the door, a lock to borrow and an e-bike charger. Nextbike shared bikes are available at Lot, Beersel and Huizingen stations.
By car
Free parking across the street, with a charging point for two cars (22 kW, Type 2).
By coach
Groups can be dropped off at the entrance; the coach parks at Lobbos, 650 m further.
A day in Beersel without a car
Take the train to Beersel station and walk 300 metres to Beersel Castle, a moated medieval fortress. From the castle it’s a 15-minute walk (1.1 km) to Oud Beersel, in time for a brewery tour, lunch in the Bierhuis and a few bottles to take home. Don’t fancy walking back with them? A taxi takes you to Lot station, 3 Fonteinen or Boerenerf for a fixed 20 euros per one-way ride, per taxi of up to 4 people. Ask us at the bar and we’ll call one for you.
