ADULT
During the standard visit on Saturdays you get a beer consumption of your choice (in an 18cl glass) of Oude Geuze, Oude Kriek or Bersalis.
With the premium visit, you receive a flight of all three beers, 15 cl each.
CHILD < 12 YEARS
A child < 12 years old can accompany an adult for free. This free standard visit does not include a drink.
You can opt for the premium visit and receive a flight of 3 tasty juices of 15cl each for your child.
Description
A visit to Oud Beersel is a unique experience that immerses you in the rich tradition of Lambic beers. Located in Beersel, about 15 km from the center of Brussels, Oud Beersel is one of the last authentic Lambic producers in Belgium.
Upon arrival, you are welcomed into the historic brewery complex, where you receive a tour through the various stages of the production process.
You learn about spontaneous fermentation, a unique process in the Pajottenland region and the Senne Valley due to the specific microflora.
During the tour, you see how Lambic ages for up to three years in wooden barrels and receive more information about blending Lambic into an Oude Geuze, and why cherries ferment on Lambic to make an Oude Kriek.
After the tour, you can enjoy a tasting in the cozy tasting room, where you can try one of Oud Beersel’s core beers, such as the traditional Oude Geuze and Oude Kriek, as well as the Bersalis. The tasting offers a perfect opportunity to discover the complex flavors and aromas of these unique beers.
